TERMS OF
SERVICE.
These terms govern the use of the Kelly Electrical Contracting website and its informational content.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and the posted Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
2. Website purpose and business status
This website provides general information about Kelly Electrical Contracting and its planned services. The business is preparing to launch, and service bookings are not currently open. Website content does not guarantee that a particular service, appointment, response time, or project will be available.
3. Estimates, ranges, and quotes
Prices and cost ranges shown on the website are general planning figures only. They are not offers, fixed prices, or project quotes. Actual pricing may change based on timing, travel, labor, materials, permits, access, equipment, existing conditions, and final scope.
Once service bookings open, a standard service call will have a $200 two-hour minimum. The minimum covers local travel and the first two hours of on-site diagnostic and repair labor, and applies even when a visit takes less than two hours. Labor beyond the first two hours, materials, permits, extended travel, and approved work outside the agreed scope are additional unless a written quote says otherwise. After-hours emergency-service minimums are separate and higher.
A project is not approved or scheduled until the parties agree to the applicable scope, price, and other project terms. A written project-specific quote or agreement controls over general website information.
4. Scope of work and site conditions
Work will be limited to the scope described in the accepted quote, work order, or other written agreement. Customers must disclose known hazards, prior damage, unusual wiring conditions, and other information that may affect the work.
Concealed damage, inaccessible wiring, code issues, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances that could not reasonably be identified beforehand may require a revised scope, additional labor, materials, permits, or a return visit.
5. Changes and additional work
Significant changes or additional work will be explained and priced before proceeding whenever practical. Customer approval may be recorded in writing, electronically, or through another documented method. Kelly Electrical Contracting may stop work when an unsafe or materially different condition is discovered until the parties agree on the appropriate next step.
6. Scheduling and arrival windows
Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates rather than guarantees. Kelly Electrical Contracting will make reasonable efforts to communicate delays, but may reschedule because of emergencies, severe weather, illness, unsafe conditions, material availability, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
7. Cancellations and rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A cancellation or rescheduling request made less than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival window may be charged a $50 late-cancellation fee. A missed appointment, or a visit where the agreed work area cannot be accessed, may be charged a $100 no-show or inaccessible-site fee.
Applicable fees will be disclosed in the booking confirmation. Kelly Electrical Contracting may waive a fee when a documented emergency, dangerous weather, or other circumstance reasonably justifies it. If Kelly Electrical Contracting must cancel or reschedule, the customer will not be charged a cancellation fee.
8. Payment and deposits
Payment is due when the agreed work is completed unless different terms are stated in writing. A deposit may be required for larger projects, special-order materials, or reserved project time. Accepted payment methods and any deposit requirements will be stated in the quote, invoice, or booking confirmation.
Past-due balances may be subject to lawful late charges, collection costs, or other remedies only when disclosed in the applicable agreement or invoice and permitted by law.
9. Customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the work area, electrical panels, and related equipment; securing pets; ensuring that an authorized adult is available when required; identifying known hazards or special requirements; and confirming that the customer has authority to approve work at the property.
Delays or additional visits caused by blocked access, unsecured animals, unavailable decision-makers, incorrect information, or unsafe site conditions may result in additional charges when disclosed and approved.
10. Materials and workmanship warranty
Kelly Electrical Contracting warrants its workmanship for one year from the completion date of the applicable work. If a customer reports a possible workmanship issue promptly and provides reasonable access, Kelly Electrical Contracting will inspect it and, when the issue is covered, correct the defective workmanship without an additional labor charge.
The workmanship warranty does not cover manufacturer or product defects; customer-supplied equipment defects or incompatibility; normal wear; misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance; pre-existing or concealed conditions; damage caused by surges, storms, water, pests, accidents, or other outside events; work outside the agreed scope; or work altered or repaired by someone else after Kelly Electrical Contracting’s service. Manufacturer warranties apply separately according to the manufacturer’s terms.
Customer-supplied fixtures, devices, or equipment must be suitable and complete for the intended installation. Additional time caused by missing parts, incompatibility, defects, or incorrect specifications may be charged. A written quote or service agreement may provide additional project-specific warranty details.
11. Permits and inspections
Permit, inspection, utility-coordination, and related costs are included only when stated in the written scope. Scheduling by an authority, utility, manufacturer, or other third party is outside Kelly Electrical Contracting’s control and may affect project timing.
12. Emergency information
The website does not provide emergency monitoring or guaranteed 24/7 response. Planned after-hours service is subject to availability, and contacting Kelly Electrical Contracting does not guarantee a response or arrival time.
If there is smoke, fire, an immediate threat to life, or another dangerous condition, leave the area and call 911. For a widespread power outage, contact the utility provider. Do not rely on this website as a substitute for emergency services or an on-site electrical assessment.
13. Communications and inquiries
Calling, texting, emailing, or preparing an inquiry through the website does not create an electrician-customer relationship, reserve an appointment, or require Kelly Electrical Contracting to accept a project. Do not send highly sensitive personal or financial information by ordinary email or text.
14. Informational content
Electrical information on this site is general and may not apply to a particular property or situation. It is not a substitute for an on-site evaluation by an appropriately qualified professional. Users should not attempt electrical work based solely on website content.
15. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, falsely represent your identity, or use its content in violation of applicable law.
16. Intellectual property
The Kelly Electrical Contracting name, branding, design, written content, and original website materials may not be copied, republished, or used commercially without permission, except for ordinary personal use of the website.
17. Third-party services and links
The website may open or link to telephone, text-message, email, hosting, or other third-party services. Kelly Electrical Contracting does not control and is not responsible for those services, their availability, or their terms and privacy practices.
18. Disclaimer and limitation
The website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kelly Electrical Contracting disclaims warranties regarding the website’s uninterrupted operation, completeness, and suitability for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kelly Electrical Contracting will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or reliance on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
19. Governing law and updates
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The terms may be updated as the website and business change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
